MY APPROACH
I’ve been photographing weddings for six years. That time has taught me so much about the work I like to do, how to connect with humans, and also a lot about myself.
Here’s what I’ve come to know:
I love film. I love the depth in it and the colors are unmatched. My work these days is a film-first approach.
Trends come and go really fast — in both wedding aesthetics and photography techniques. You and I, if we stick to things that we intrinsically love, then we will both love the photos forever.
I work in a documentary style. I’m not going to manipulate a scene or ask you to re-create a moment. I want to photograph what is real. I offer guidance when it’s needed, especially for portraits, but I don’t want you look back at your wedding and remember me micro-managing it.
I love to make friends with your friends and your family.
Asking “why” is my favorite way to find perspective.
My best work is born out of emotional investment, deep trust, and no rules.
My process leading up to a wedding day is a bit unconventional (believe me, it’ll be fun). It requires openness, vulnerabilty, and a good deal of trust.

Every wedding I’ve ever photographed has been different from the one before it so each wedding inquiry will receive a custom package and proposal. Photography services for wedding days begin at $9,000.

I am based in NC, have a big, big love for NYC, and regularly work up and down the East Coast. If you’re getting married in a different destination, we can discuss options!
Couples and engagement sessions are returned within 3-4 weeks and weddings within 8-10 weeks. Wedding days will receive previews within 72 hours.
You inquire and then we set up a call to get to know each other. Once we've discussed options and I've sent over a quote, you'll let me know which option works best for you. Then I'll send over a contract and invoice for a 30% non-refundable retainer to hold your date.
Then we plan!
Run don't walk. Mady is the absolute best decision we made for our wedding. I went into wedding planning feeling extraordinarily overwhelmed by the industry of it all and resistant to a lot of the expectations around what you're "supposed" to do -- getting to speak with Mady was a much-needed breath of fresh air. She not only validated but celebrated my feelings and offered herself as a resource from the get-go. I knew from our first chat that her calm, warm demeanor was exactly what we wanted (and needed!). Besides being an incredible human and a joy to be around, her artistry is truly exceptional. We wanted a more organic, elevated, documentary-style approach for our wedding photos. This type of work takes an incredible eye, a keen intuition, and real mastery of the camera. Mady has all of these, and somehow makes it feel effortless. The photos we got back are drop-dead gorgeous and something we will treasure for a lifetime.

We booked Mady for our wedding before we had a date or a venue. From the beginning, we knew that the photography was one of the most important aspects of our wedding day and we wanted to find the best person possible to capture our photos for us. We found that, and more, in Mady. Throughout the entire process, Mady was a friend to us. We had gotten professional photos taken together in the past, but we always felt a little bit uncomfortable and awkward during them. We always felt like ourselves with Mady and that's clear in every picture she took of us. She understood our experience in planning an LGBTQ wedding and that meant a lot to us. We can't say enough good things about Mady and are so grateful that we found her. Her demeanor throughout the day was phenomenal; funny, warm and incredibly relaxing to be around. My wife and I are very much awkward when it comes to being photographed, and truly the day did not feel awkward or uncomfortable at all. She helped direct us and our family and friends to capture truly amazing photos.
